- Go to the official website at https://www.retroarch.com/ to get the Latest Version. Don’t forget to always choose the top (updated) version to get the best performance and performance.

- Now that you’ve added some cores, it’s time to add your ROM. We assume you already have a collection of ROMs for the purposes of this guide. If you’re not sure which core to choose for a particular system, don’t worry, you can experiment to find out which core works best later. However, for the most part, they should be similar, so for now just pick one.
- RetroArch can scan folders full of ROMs and organize them for you. From the main menu, go to “Add Content”. Select “Scan Directory”, then browse through your file system until you find your folder full of ROMs. The yellow text at the bottom of the screen will show your progress. Once everything is done, go to the home screen and you will see a new icon: controllers for each system to which you have added the ROM.
